In my office, I specialize in low force adjustments that don't require popping or twisting. With my adjustments, usually there is no "crack”. I use the Impulse instrumement. The adjustments are very fast and comfortable. This is a fantastic instrument that adjusts 100 times faster than the hand. The high frequency causes a greater stimulation of mechno-receptors in the spine. These nerve receptors then help block pain messages to the brain and normalize the nervous system. The faster the adjustment, the better the adjustment. Chiropractors train for hours and hours and they still can’t achieve the speed that this instrument delivers.I have used every instrument on the market in my 23 years in practice and have found that the Impluse instrument provides the best response.

I also use several other techniques including: Brimhall, Activator, SOT (Sacro-occipital Technique), Thompson Drop table and Cox Flexion Distraction (disc decompression) and Diversified. For lumbar disc problems I use Cox Flexion Distraction technique. This technique is a form of disc decompression. In this technique, gentle traction is applied on a table and pressure is applied by hand to separate the lumbar vertebrae and restore movement to the discs. This causes the disc to return back to its normal position. Thompson technique uses a drop table to adjust the sacro-iliac joints of the pelvis. It is a very safe and effective technique. SOT uses blocks or wedges to correct misalignment in the pelvis, cranio-sacral system and lumbar discs. I also use Activator Methods Technique analysis and muscle response testing to confirm my analysis. On occasion, I do use traditional hands-on adjustments, if necessary. Approximately 10% of patients with neck problems or upper back may need a few hands on traditional chiropractic adjustments
